Early Access: wac
The variable-income work app with 500,000 downloads, has 50% of it’s £2m Seed round committed.

Happy Monday and welcome back to Early Access by Coeus Collective: the newsletter where we do the sourcing and you get the deal. If you’re in NYC, we hope you are staying safe in the snowstorm!
Last week, we continued our eco-friendly start to the year by featuring Tastee Tape, a technology that represents the future of food packaging. Today, we’re heading back into the digital world…in a way, though, that connects with one of the most important (and stressful) parts of our lives as humans: the job search process.
Welcome to the world of wac. Let’s get to it!

Work has changed, but the systems that pay workers haven’t.
For millions of people, income now comes from shifts, gigs, freelance work, or multiple jobs at once. Pay varies week to week, hours change, and overtime, holiday pay, and deductions are hard to predict. And yet workers are still expected to manage all of this using fragmented employer systems, spreadsheets, and guesswork.
wac exists because there has never been a single place for people with variable income to clearly understand their work and earnings.
Founded by Georgina Fairhall, wac is a mobile app that gives workers one source of truth for their working lives. It allows users to track hours, overtime, tips, and more; estimate complex pay; spot discrepancies; and stay in control of income that isn’t fixed or predictable. It also supports an often-overlooked workforce in additional ways, including a growing marketplace offering access to further support and discounts.
The product is live on iOS and Android and is used daily by thousands of workers managing shifts, gigs, and freelance work across multiple employers.
